SPRINGFIELD Mo - Waterfowl hunters will have an opportunity to provide input on the location of duck zone boundaries and season structure (zones and splits) in Missouri for the next five-year period (20011-2015) at a series of public meetings the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will hold at select sites across the state.

Locally, meetings will be held on March 28 at the Wildcat Glade Conservation Area and Audubon Center in Joplin and on March 29 at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center in Springfield. Both meetings will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

KANSAS CITY MO - The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is holding workshops statewide to gather hunter ideas about the timing of duck season and where waterfowl hunting zone boundaries should be located.

Workshops are scheduled for the state’s west-central region from 7 to 9 p.m. at the following locations:

Nevada on March 30 at the Vernon County/Nevada Community Center, 200 N. Ash St. For information, call 417-876-5226.

The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold an open house on Tuesday, March 29, in Forsyth to discuss its proposed striped-bass management plan for Bull Shoals Lake. The open house will be from 6-8 p.m. at the Taney Center, located approximately two miles east of Forsyth on U.S. 160.
