Some MDC offices closed Nov. 10 for Veterans Day

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Some Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) offices will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, in honor of Veterans Day.

MDC nature centers (except for the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center in downtown Kansas City), most offices, and all shooting ranges will be open Nov. 10.

  • Central Regional Office and Conservation Research Center in Columbia,
  • Chillicothe Office,
  • Clinton Office,
  • Columbia Bottom Conservation Area Visitor Center in north St. Louis County,
  • El Dorado Springs Office,
  • Hannibal Office,
  • Kansas City Regional Office in Lee’s Summit,
  • Lost Valley Hatchery Visitor Center northeast of Warsaw,
  • Northeast Regional Office in Kirksville,
  • Northwest Regional Office in St. Joseph,
  • Ozark Regional Office in West Plains,
  • Rockwoods Reservation in western St. Louis County,
  • Southeast Regional Office in Cape Girardeau, and
  • Southwest Regional Office in Springfield.

MDC Permit Services staff will be answering phones on this day before the opening weekend of the fall firearms deer hunting season to help with permit inquiries. Hunter Education staff will also be available to answer related questions. Call 573-751-4115.
