Lexington, Mo. – Justin Pyburn will begin Oct. 1 as the conservation agent serving Lafayette County. Pyburn previously served as the agent in Caldwell County.

“I have enjoyed fishing, wildlife, and the outdoors my whole life and want to make sure future generations can enjoy them as well,” Pyburn said. “I am excited to become a part of the community and to continue my career as the conservation agent for Lafayette County.”

Originally from Lee’s Summit, Pyburn graduated from Lee’s Summit North High School in 2009.  He received a bachelor’s degree in Conservation Enforcement and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

Conservation agents enforce Missouri’s laws protecting natural resources, including fish and wildlife. They also serve the public in emergencies, and they help connect people with nature at educational programs and field days.
