SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – When Conservation Agent Jarrad Jewell moves from his old county to his newly assigned one, it will be a short trip.
On Oct. 1, Jewell begins his new job as conservation agent for Laclede County. He is familiar with the area, having served as the conservation agent in neighboring Dallas County since 2009. He will work alongside fellow Laclede County Conservation Agent Jarad Milligan. Jewell replaces Walt Hutton, who retired earlier this summer after serving as Laclede County’s conservation agent for 25 years.
A native of southwest Oklahoma, Jewell served in the U.S. Air Force and received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Missouri before graduating from the Missouri Department of Conservation’s Agent Academy in 2009.
