JEFFERSON CITY, MO. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host a Missouri Owls program at the MDC Runge Nature Center on Oct. 14 from 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Start the weekend by learning how owls operate – from vision and hearing, to hunting and eating. MDC staff will be on hand to answer questions and the Missouri University Raptor Rehabilitation program will bring live owls to see up-close.

Other activities will include crafts, discovery tables, and owl pellet dissection as experts discuss how they study the habits of these stealthy predators.

For questions, call Runge Conservation Nature Center at 573-526-5544. For information on other upcoming events and programs at the Nature Center, visit http://on.mo.gov/2dO7lR8.
