St. Joseph, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will offer nature fans a chance to take a shot at winning the Food Chain Game during a special event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the Northwest Regional Office in St. Joseph.

MDC Naturalist Shelby Smith will referee. This free family- and stroller-friendly event will start with a 10-minute introduction and some facts about ecological food chains in Missouri’s outdoors. Participants can then stroll through the Food Chain Game. They will test their nature knowledge and basketball skills at each station.

All creatures, including people, are part of a food chain. Learn about the interwoven threads of life at MDC’s March Madness game at 701 James McCarthy Drive, on the campus of Missouri Western State University.
