MDC offers hunter education skills course in Columbia Oct. 11

COLUMBIA, Mo. —The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will hold a hunter education skills session in Columbia.  The class will take place from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the MDC Central Regional Office, 3500 East Gans Road. 

Students will learn how to be safe, responsible hunters in this course, and upon passing an exam, will earn a hunter education certification card. 

The Missouri Hunter Education Skills Session is the second half of the hunter education certification process. To attend this class, students must first complete the Missouri hunter education online course, or the chapter review questions inside the Missouri hunter education student manual. Students need to bring the online completion certificate or completed student manual to enter the class. Students must be 11 years old by Oct. 11, 2016. Registrants 16 years-old and younger must present a birth certificate, or other proof of age to attend the course.
