MDC invites people to make holiday crafts at Dec. 11 program

BRANSON, Mo. – Holiday ornaments can come from the backyard as well as a box.

People can learn how to transform pine cones, twigs, and other items from nature into holiday ornaments at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) “Nature Arts: Nature Ornaments” Dec. 11 at MDC’s Shepherd of the Hills Conservation Center in Branson.

No registration is required for this free event, which will be from 9:30 a.m.-noon and is open to holiday decorating enthusiasts of all ages. MDC staff and volunteers will show how items from nature can be crafted into eye-catching ornaments for Christmas trees, windows, and other parts of the house. COVID-19 procedures will be in place for this event. More information about this program can be found at:
