MDC invites hunters to Dalton Range firearms workshop

ASH GROVE, Mo. – After hunting opportunities have ended, it’s important to clean and care for firearms so they’ll be in good working order for the next season.

Hunters and gun owners can get information about caring for firearms in between hunting seasons at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Firearm Basic Care and Cleaning program Feb. 24 at MDC’s Andy Dalton Shooting Range and Outdoor Education Center. This free workshop will be from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

The workshop will cover how to clean and store firearms and other basic firearm maintenance, too. Participants can bring their own unloaded firearm to the class or use ones provided by Dalton Range staff.
