Kansas City, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will temporarily close the Parma Woods Shooting Range in Parkville from June 24 through July 4 for maintenance. Improvements and repairs will be made to the backstops at the range.

The shooting range will resume normal operations on Friday, July 5. Parma Woods also has hiking trails through forest in the loess bluff hills above the Missouri River valley in Platte County. The trails are located away from the shooting range. The trails and conservation land will remain open to the public during the maintenance.
