KIRKWOOD, Mo.—The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) welcomes conservation educator and musician Jan Syrigos of the group WildHeart to Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center in Kirkwood Friday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to all ages.

Families are invited to explore the world of the wild with Emmy® Award winning singer/songwriter Syrigos as she takes spectators on a musical journey to discover nature right here in Missouri. WildHeart’s catchy and energetic music motivates kids of all ages to move and groove with conservation-friendly tunes. Audiences learn to appreciate the world of the outdoors through songs of wild animals, their characteristics and habitats.

Entertaining and educational, WildHeart is recommended by Parents’ Choice® and has performed at Silver Dollar City, the Kansas City Zoo, the Missouri Governor’s Mansion, as well as nature centers and state parks throughout the Midwest. The group has also produced two albums, Critter Rock and WildHeart. Syrigos will give a lively performance that will reach beyond the stage and engage audiences to join in the fun by dancing and singing along. WildHeart brings the heart of the wild, to the heart of the child.
